The first thing that he noticed when he woke up was that breathing still hurt. After that came the splitting headache and realisation that he felt sick. He tried to sit up only to realise that he wasn't in quite the same position he had been in before. Confused and disorientated he opened his eyes briefly before shutting them again.

Medical Bay.
 

This had to be pretty bad.
 

The jolt of pain that came with trying to open his mouth told him that it was in fact really bad. Hugh let out a whine as hands went up to his face and he tried to swallow back the urge to throw up right then an there.

At least he was still alive. That was a good thing, surely.
